The Melbourne Writers Festival (MWF) is a cornerstone of the city’s cultural calendar, championing innovative ideas, inspirational authors and provocative discussion since 1986.

To establish clear and concise branded communications for the 2012 Festival, Cordial Creative was engaged to build a new communications strategy and related assets.

Commencing with research to determine the appropriate objectives for the annual Festival, we collaborated with the MWF team to identify a set of key values, market position, personality traits, tone of voice, and clear guidelines to inform all staff about how to produce consistent event communications.

Final deliverables included: an online communication strategy; a condensed playbook of key information for use by MWF staff; a five-week schedule of online promotional content across the MWF website, blog, e-bulletin and social media channels, and; a site map and wireframe design for a dynamic website template.
