The Victoria’s Mothers, Babies and Children report is produced by the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity (CCOPMM), a part of Safer Care Victoria (SCV). This annual report presents data on birth outcomes and the health of mothers, newborns and children in Victoria for the preceding year.

The information contained in the report is crucial for informing improvements in policy and planning in Victoria’s healthcare system, and ultimately saving lives, making it one of the most important types of communication design project.

To communicate such important information in a clear yet also sensitive way, Cordial Creative developed a series of custom infographics and drew on Safer Care Victoria’s signature colour palette. This produced a collection of engaging graphs and tables that succinctly communicated often confronting statistics in an approachable, understandable and human format.
